Kisampa – Wami River Retreat
Ideally situated between Bagamoyo and Pangani, Kisampa is just 3 hours drive from Dar es Salaam. Set in a 120sq km private conservancy run in cooperation with the local villages. Kisampa is bordered by the Wami River to the south and Saadani National Park to the east. The rocky outcrop on which Kisampa stands offers stunning views of the uninhabited bush on all sides of the camp.
With nine comfortable bush en-suites and a ridge top suite, Kisampa is ideal for the first couple of nights on safari, or for residents,
a weekend getaway.
Conservation and Environment.
Within the camp our goal is to be as environmentally friendly as possible by conserving precious water resources, therefore there are waterless composting toilets on site. Also we are off the grid, so fridges and freezers are run on solar generated power and for cooking , gas is used. In our en-suites, we use solar lamps for lights. This helps reduce our carbon footprint.
