At Kisampa we take our position in the local community seriously. We work closely with the village chief (Mwanakiti – translating from Swahili as Man of the Chair) and the committee of elders. Advice from these community leaders guides us in where we can best aid the community. Education and schooling is always an area needing attention in rural Africa, and Matipwilli village is no exception. We work closely with the village school and we have groups of students who come out during the year to do community work with the children.
When ever possible we support the local communities by buying local products. Furthermore, we also employ staff from the surrounding communities, allowing our guest to have cultural exchange of ideas and lifestyles.
Make an impact when staying at Kisampa, if you are able to bring out any pencils, books, sports equipment, educational items or clothing for our local primary school, we would truly be grateful.
